About Greenford ESP

Our Mission Statement

Our aim is to open doors for our community by developing cohesive community partnerships to provide access to flexible, inclusive and affordable services for children, families and the wider community.

The GPES Partnership aims to provide high quality, affordable and accessible services for children, parents, families and the wider community in accordance with the DfES Extended Services in and around Schools Agenda.  The GPES Partnership aims to listen to the needs of the community and deliver services that meet those needs, helping to provide better outcomes for all.

We will do this by…

  • Ensuring inclusive access for all
  • Being open, honest and valuing the opinions of users
  • Putting the child at the centre of services
  • Efficient, flexible partnership working
  • Listening to our community and responding to need.

Our Core Values

The GPES community and its partners have an entitlement to;

  • A safe, emotionally comfortable place to live
  • Feel part of where they are and what goes on
  • Have a voice
  • Safe, efficient and affordable transport options
  • Early intervention and timely equal access to services including health
  • A community who has it’s needs fulfilled – whatever those needs are
  • Support as a family unit
The ethos of lifelong learning will underpin the vision of the GPES Partnership.

Key Objectives

  • To provide access to a varied menu of quality services delivered through partnership working as described in the core offer.
  • Ensure access for all
  • Improve safety in schools and the wider community.
  • Raise the profile of the Greenford & Perivale areas.
  • Consult with parents, pupils and the wider community on a regular basis to ensure services continue to meet need and demand.

The Greenford & Perivale Extended Schools Partnership was formed in 2006 as part of Ealing Council’s Extended Schools Strategy which aims to support the governments target that every school should be offering the full range of extended services by 2010.

Schools work together with extended schools partnership coordinators, Ealing Council and other agencies to identify local needs and to develop services in and around schools to support children, families and communities.

In addition to the 13 schools in the Greenford and Perivale area, the partnership also works closely with the voluntary, community and private sector to ensure the suitability and delivery of services.

Consultation

The extended schools initiative aims to work in partnership with children and families to make sure that the services we develop meet local needs.  In 2007, GPES carried out a survey through schools which was completed by over 1200 parents and nearly 6000 pupils and helped us to develop our action plan.
