The GPES partnership is committed to providing learning opportunities at all stages in life and by making learning fun, we hope to encourage as many children, parents and families to keep learning. See below for activities.

Ravenor Family Learning Day
Ravenor Primary School succesfully hosted another Family Learning Day. Activities included some favourites from last year as well as some new ones such as African Drumming, Festive Card Making alongside favourites including circus skills, singing, ICT and cookery.
Over 50 families joined in with the activities and feedback was extremely positive. Parents certainly enjoy the challenge of learning and the children thrive on seeing their parents involved in doing something new. A great time was had by all!
Ravenor Family Learning Day 2008
Horsenden Primary School
Family Fun Activities after school – after two successful terms we hope to continue the excellent family arts and crafts and family cookery clubs at the school. Many other local schools have also shown an interest.
Family Fun @ the libraries
Every holiday the GPES in partnership with NESP run FREE family fun activities at the local libraries. The activities are arts and craft based and families are encouraged to bring materials from home to show that being creative doesn’t cost lots of money! See GPES in action for photographs of activities during the Spring Holidays in 2008.
Greenford High School
This year saw the first of what we hope will be many activities for parents and their children to take part in activities together at Greenford High School. The Family Cookery Club ran for 6 weeks and in partnership with Cooking With Children, families learnt how to create a variety of delicious meals, that can be easily prepared and enjoyed by all the family. The response has been fantastic and we hope to develop a number of new after school activities for families to enjoy! See GPES in action for photographs of the family cookery club.
