Welcome to the Greenford & Perivale Ealing Extended Schools website pages for children and young people!

What is extended schools?

The Government want all children to have the opportunity to reach their full potential.  To do this they want to support all children and young people to:  

  • Be healthy  

  • Enjoy & achieve  

  • Stay safe  

  • Make a positive contribution  

  • Achieve economic well being  

Extended schools is helping to achieve this across the whole of Ealing by developing services in and around schools which will help pupils, their families and the rest of the community.
 
What will schools have to do?

Schools will have to make sure that they do 5 key things:  

  • Help give children and young people a safe place to be before school, after school and during the holidays  

  • Provide different activities for children and young people to take part in outside school time  

  • Help parents and families get involved and give them support and advice  

  • Help children , young people and families access special help or support when they need it  

  • Get more involved with local communities  

What does extended schools mean for children and young people?  

   

Extended Schools will help children and young people by giving you:  

  • More things to do outside school and the opportunity to try new activities  

  • Help and support with school work  

  • Opportunity to take part in activities as a family  

  • Help to get involved in your community  

  • More support for you and you family to have a happier home life
