Mayor Visits Holiday Activities
Ealing's Mayor Cllr Barbara Yerolemou visited the Estates Play Project at Perivale Community Centre on Tuesday 27th October. The visit conicided with the official opening of the new play area located next to the community centre.

Cllr Yerolemou was greeted by more than 70 children, young people and their families as she toured the activities at the centre before popping outside in the glorious (and unexpected) sunshine to open the new play area.

The Estates Play Project is a jointly funded and operated service coordinated by Extended Schools, Ealing Play Service and Ealing CVS, delivered in partnership with West London YMCA. The FREE activities are delivered in areas where there is limited play provision and so far have been very well received.

The GPES Partnership has been extremely busy over the summer holidays. Have a look through some of our fabulous pictures - you might even find yourself in one!

National Play Day
Part of the National Play Day celebrations of 2008, GPES and the Ealing Play Service played host to FREE circus skills, T-shirt painting and face painting at Ravenor Park. National Play Day helps to promote a childs right to play and this years theme looked at encouraging our children to take risks during their play. GPES and Play Service wish to thank Splats Entertainment, Ealing Parks Department and the organiser at National Play Day for helping to make this years event a successful one!

Summer Uni 2008
Greenford High School played host to a Summer Uni funded 2 day film work shop. 10 young people came along to the FREE activities to learn more about film making and made a horror film. GPES wishes to thank Ealing Youth and Connexions team (particularly Kim Newitt for support!) and Splats Entertainment for making the 2 days such an enjoyable activity. We can't wait to run something similar again next year!
